Additional Hours
Wednesday & Thursday
Evening surgery 17:30 - 20:00 for pre-booked vaccinations and medication reviews only.
Our operating list is very busy so please book in advance for routine operations.
All pets admitted for routine surgical procedures should be starved in accordance with instructions below:
- No food after 10pm the night before admission (please keep your cat indoors overnight with a litter tray to avoid he/she finding food outside).
- Water should be made available overnight.
Surgical procedures are routinely carried out each week day. Patients are generally admitted between 8.30am and 8.45am and discharged the same day between 3pm and 4pm.
Please allow time for the admissions process in the morning which will involve you being seen by the vet or nurse and signing a consent form. You should allow for 15 minutes for this process in case staff are having to deal with an emergency or there are multiple admissions. This is also a chance to ask any questions you may have. The consent form will state an estimate of the cost of the procedure. In signing the consent form you are agreeing to pay for the treatment when you collect your cat. In the sad situation where we are trying to save the life of your cat but are unable to do so you are still liable for the costs of this treatment.
An estimate is always provided where an animal is admitted for hospitalisation or a surgical procedure. We try to be as realistic as possible with estimating costs of treatment, however if during the course of the treatment it looks likely that the estimate will be exceeded we will always try and contact you on the telephone numbers provided. In the event we cannot contact you, then we will undertake any additional work where we feel it is in the interests of the patient, and you would be liable for those costs.
Our Nurses will always try and contact you after the procedure to reassure you and to give a more accurate discharge time.
