Where to find the Just Cats clinic
Just Cats Veterinary Clinic continues to offer a high level of veterinary care in a quiet and calm environment.
Freshfields Animal Rescue is a non profit making charity caring for abandoned, abused and unwanted animals. The rescue centre acts as a temporary refuge and sanctuary for an endless cycle of animals in need of help. The rescue centre aims to end the misery for animals once they arrive, with each animal receiving the food, medication, socialisation and the love it needs. The ultimate objective of the rescue centre is to find the right new home and family for each of the rescued animals as quickly as possible.
Our work with Freshfields Animal Rescue
Since opening in 2007, Just Cats has maintained a strong working relationship with Freshfields Animal Rescue, providing support to the rescue centre through discounted neutering and medical treatment for the cats in their care.
It was the ambition of practice owner Simon Backshall to create a veterinary clinic that would avoid many of the normal stresses experienced by cats when they are taken to a vets and are brought into contact with other types of animals.
A feline-only clinic tries to avoid many of the sights, smells and noises that cats can be exposed to in the waiting rooms and hospitalisation units of mixed- animal clinics.
Opened in 2007, Just Cats became the first feline-only veterinary practice in the north west of England.
